技术移民，也称Skill Migrant，是除了难民、政治避难、家庭团聚、创业移民、投资移民外，唯一移民新西兰的途径。技术移民考量申请人的移民分，一般情况下，在移民分超过100分以上的人，均有资格申请技术移民。根据新西兰移民局现有规定，以下是移民分各项指标一览表：
